"Confidence comes from consistency, not pressure. Stay within your limits and focus on enjoying the experience."
Corinna Haimerl, @corinna_haimerl

When you share unapologetically about what you love, doors open. For Corinna Haimerl, a moto content creator originally from Germany and now based in British Columbia, Canada, that meant an invitation from Harley-Davidson to attend Daytona Bike Week. One week, she was riding quiet mountain roads at home. The next, she was riding toward Daytona Bike Week surrounded by palm trees, endless sunshine, and more motorcycles than she could count.

Corinna has built an online following by doing something simple: showing up, riding big bikes, and proving that you don't have to fit a certain mold to do it. At 5'2", she rides a Harley-Davidson Street Glide. A big, elegant bagger that turns heads for all the right reasons. Her whole message is that confidence grows with experience, and this trip to Florida was a reminder of exactly that.

Charleston to Jekyll Island to Daytona

The trip kicked off in Charleston, where Harley-Davidson unveiled their newest touring lineup. Corinna got her first look at the Road Glide Limited and the Street Glide Limited before throwing a leg over one and heading south.

The coastal route from Charleston down to Jekyll Island and on to Daytona Beach was a highlight from the first mile. Beautiful coastal roads, long stretches of open highway, and that particular kind of peace that comes with being on a motorcycle. Jekyll Island offered a natural pause before the energy of Daytona took over completely.

Arriving at Daytona Bike Week after riding in from the coast is a different experience from flying in. You feel the transition. The roads get busier, the sound builds, and by the time you reach Daytona Beach, you're already part of the event.

Daytona Bike Week

Daytona Bike Week is one of those events that has to be experienced to be understood. The city becomes completely transformed, with motorcycles lining nearly every street. The scale of it, the energy, the sheer number of riders from every background and on every kind of bike. For Corinna, who rode in with a group of fellow creators including: Matt LaidlawTiffany ReneRiding in the OzarksTraveling TallBig Rock Moto, Chase on 2 WheelsThe Smoaks Vlog,Ryan Urlacher, and Workman Experience, the trip had an added layer. Being surrounded by people who share the same passion for riding and storytelling made every part of it better.

The chance to test ride the newest Harley-Davidson touring models in Daytona at one of the world's biggest motorcycle events is not something that comes along often. Corinna made the most of every mile.

Riding with Hightail

Long days in the saddle through Florida's heat and humidity have a way of testing everything in your kit. Corinna had her Hightail along for every ride, and on a trip like this, it earned its place quickly.

"It's one of those things you don't realize you need until you have it, and then you don't want to ride without it."

Riding all day and moving constantly, the last thing you want to be thinking about is your hair. Having it contained and protected meant one less thing to manage, whether stopping for content, meeting people, or heading straight into the next leg of the ride. Corinna put it simply: it kept everything contained, comfortable, and made her feel more put together stepping off the bike.

On a trip built around being seen, that's not a small thing.

Corinna's Ride Notes

A few things Corinna would want every rider to know before a trip like this.

  • Comfort is everything on long days. Make sure your gear works for you. The small details add up quickly over hours in the saddle.

  • Don't over-plan. Some of the best moments on this trip came from unexpected stops, unplanned conversations, and roads that weren't on the original route. Leave room for it.

  • Ride your own ride. Especially in a group or around experienced riders, it's easy to push past your comfort zone. Confidence comes from consistency, not pressure.

  • Respect the conditions. Heat, sun, and long days are exhausting. Stay hydrated, take breaks, and listen to your body.

  • Be present. It's easy to get caught up in filming and documenting, but some of the best moments happen when you just take it all in.

  • Daytona traffic, weather, and crowds can become exhausting without proper breaks.

From the mountain roads of British Columbia to the chaos and sunshine of Daytona, this was the kind of trip that reminds you why you started riding in the first place.
